The Pelvic Power Lift is an easy-to-use tool that reminds you to do pelvic strengthening exercises (also known as kegels) throughout the day.

We recommend for you to set your widget for two times a day (that's 10, 10 second sustained holds and 10, 10 second rests), twice a day. If you feel that is too strenuous - limit yourself to once daily, then gradually add another set.

To perform pelvic floor exercises correctly, it's important to know where the pelvic floor muscles are located. Along with connective tissue (fasciae and ligaments) pelvic floor muscles support the bladder, rectum, urethra and uterus. Woven around the urethra like a web, the muscles around the urethra need to be strong in order for the urethra to close tightly and keep urine from leaking. These muscles are also a supporting hammock for your internal organs.
To help you properly isolate and strengthen your pelvic floor muscles, or “Kegel,” concentrate on which muscles you should be using. Remember, these are internal muscles, there is not going to be anything visibly moving as you perform your squeezes or lifts. Focus on lifting the pelvic floor muscles gently upwards and inwards. In addition, you can imagine you are trying to stop a stream of urine or are gently drawing a tampon up and in. With every analogy, keep reminding yourself to be gentle to prevent yourself from using other muscles, such as the abdomen or buttocks during your workout.
The Pelvic Power Lift will prompt you to lift up and in with a sustained hold for 10 seconds followed by a release and resting period for 10 seconds. Please note – resting after a sustained hold is just as important as performing the exercise itself. Also, remember to keep breathing normally as you strengthen your pelvic muscles.
After you have completed10 sets, you will be finished! Do this set of exercises twice a day and you will be on your way to being fit, sexy, and in control!
